SPX Corporation ("SPX") (NYSE: SPW) completed the sale of its interest in Filtran (“Filtran” or “the Company”) to Madison Capital Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Filtran is the leading manufacturer of automatic transmission filters, filter systems and related components for the light vehicle industry with operations in the U.S., Europe and China. The Company’s full service offering benefits its global customer base, which consists of nearly every major transmission and OEM manufacturer, from the initial filter design through final system validation. In addition, Filtran sells transmission filters to the light vehicle aftermarket via OEM service channels and distributors to the independent aftermarket.

SPX Corporation is a Fortune 500 multi-industry manufacturing company that offers highly-specialized engineered solutions to solve critical problems for customers.
