  • Revenues for 2010 were $847 million, up 18% from 2009, and our best year on record. And, Baird was very profitable in 2010, with operating income of $84 million.
     
  • Baird is well capitalized, with excess net capital well in excess of the regulatory requirement. 
     
  • We have been conservative in our use of debt, and we have significant unused bank commitments.
     
  • Our senior executives average 18 years at Baird and are strong advocates for the important values on which the firm has built its reputation.
     
  • We have five complementary businesses, balancing our sources of revenue and broadening our capabilities for clients.
     
  • Our clients have account protection through the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), and coverage in excess of SIPC limits through Lloyd's of London.
