Stanek shares insights on Corporate Bonds, Housing and Inflation
October 29, 2009
Morningstar.com recently interviewed Baird Advisors Chief Investment Officer Mary Ellen Stanek about corporate bonds, housing and inflation.
Some of her insights include:
- While the credit market is closer to fair value today in many sectors, financial intermediaries still look attractive.
- The affordability of mortgage payments relative to overall income is attractive and likely to improve into 2010.
- Though inflation is not likely to increase for a while, investors should stay with high quality bonds with short or intermediate durations.
