Over the past five years, three-fourths of the advisors we have recruited have been experienced Financial Advisors and Branch Managers. We are also training the next generation of advisors through our comprehensive Financial Advisor Training Program.

Clients of Private Wealth Management have committed more than $90 billion in assets to our care. Baird Financial Advisors are deeply mindful of the trust these assets represent - trust that Baird will provide thoughtful, appropriate solutions to the complex questions of multi-generational wealth management. That's why we are especially proud that our clients feel overwhelmingly positive about their relationship with Baird. In an independently conducted survey of clients completed in 2013, 98% of respondents strongly agreed that Baird is a company they can trust, with 98% agreeing that clients come first at Baird. For 93% of respondents, we are their primary wealth management provider.

We realize that we oversee our clients' expectations and dreams, as well as their assets. Our 727 Financial Advisors bring an average of 19 years of industry experience to the task of creating sophisticated investment solutions. Nearly 40% of Baird advisors hold designations in financial planning, asset management and other specialties, and approximately 73% of our Client Relationship Assistants are licensed professionals. And we continue to invest in professional development. During 2013, we graduated Baird's second class from the advanced Certified Private Wealth Advisor® program held in conjunction with the University of Chicago. We also completed two training classes that added 32 new Financial Advisors to our teams across the country.

Investing for a better experience

Today, education and information are essential in helping clients address complex wealth management issues. Baird Financial Advisors are supported by a readily accessible group of 65 highly skilled, in-house specialists in areas such as investment research, retirement planning, and financial and estate planning. We also use this intellectual capital to build tools, like the Baird Wealth Report, that facilitate conversations between Financial Advisors and their clients on key topics such as building a portfolio for retirement. Similarly, we encourage frank dialogue between clients and their adult children about important family issues such as retirement spending, long-term health care, wealth transfer, and tax and estate planning.

Baird's commitment to provide the support, culture and stability that Financial Advisors value has enabled Private Wealth Management to attract some of the most talented and successful Financial Advisors in the country over the past several years. We recruited another 44 Financial Advisors and Branch Managers during 2013. Investing to serve more clients and their families across the country also remains a key goal. Private Wealth Management opened three new offices last year and now serves clients from 75 offices in 25 states.
