Baird Adds Industry Veteran Douglas Mabie in Chicago
CHICAGO, April 24, 2012
Baird, an international, employee-owned wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm, announced today that it has added industry veteran Douglas W. Mabie to the firm’s Chicago wealth management office. He joins Baird as a Managing Director. He is joined by Registered Client Relationship Specialists Jennifer Krohn and Kate Pawela.

Mabie began his career nearly 24 years ago with William Blair’s private investor department. He most recently worked with William Blair’s Investment Management division as a portfolio manager. He holds a B.A. from Denison University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Committed to his community, Mabie founded the Springboard Foundation in 1996, which supports small, not-for-profit educational organizations in at-risk communities. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for North Shore Country Day School. Previously, he served on the Denison University President’s Leadership Council and on the Board of Directors for the Midwestern chapter of the U.S. Committee for UNICEF. He lives in Winnetka, Ill. with wife and three children.
