Baird’s Jarrett Kovics “Going the Extra Mile” for Charitable Cause

For Jarrett Kovics, Director of the Texas Market for Baird Private Wealth Management, “going the extra mile” has a whole new meaning. The 38-year-old is three months away from running a 155-mile footrace through the Atacama Desert of Chile.

Through hot days and cold nights, the seven-day race will test Kovics’ endurance for a good cause – raising money for orphanages in Costa Rica.

“I’m not doing it for me. In a small way, I want to prove that I can do it with everything I have in my life,” the University Park father of three said. “But the main goal and focus has always been raising awareness and funds for these orphans because it gives them life, and I’ve seen that now.”
