Baird Public Finance Adds Former Manitowoc, Green Bay Government Finance Executive Brian Ruechel

Brian RuechelBaird, an employee-owned, international capital markets, wealth management, private equity and asset management firm, today announced that it has added Brian C. Ruechel, Director, to its Public Finance investment banking team. Ruechel has more than 30 years of municipal finance experience. Prior to joining Baird, he worked 11 years as the Finance Director and Treasurer for the City of Manitowoc and 20 years for the City of Green Bay – first as Senior Accountant, then as Assistant Finance Director.

Ruechel, who holds a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation, recently received municipal finance honors:
    • Nominated to the Board of Directors of The Wisconsin Government Finance Officers Association (WGFOA) and awarded an honorary lifetime membership to the organization for his decades of dedication to government finance.

    • Awarded a lifetime membership to The Municipal Treasurers Associates of Wisconsin (MTAW) in recognition of his 31-year government finance career and 11-year membership of the association.
