Banking professionals in the United States may also be involved in international transactions, and our U.S.-based senior research analysts travel extensively to have a global view of the industries they cover

Baird Private Equity
Baird Private Equity operates on a global platform to source, evaluate and enhance attractive investment opportunities. To date, the group has raised and managed more than $2.6 billion.

Baird Capital Partners Europe provides change-of-control capital to mid-size companies in the United Kingdom. Approximately 9 Private Equity professionals work in this unit.

In Germany, Granville Baird, manages funds that invest in middle-market growth companies in German-speaking countries. This unit has approximately 15 private equity professionals.

In Asia, Baird’s Private Equity team consists of more than 20 operating professionals in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. We have also established a presence in Bangalore, India.

Investment Banking
Through offices in London and Frankfurt, which are fully integrated with our U.S. team, we provide on-the-ground expertise and advice for clients looking to execute acquisitions or divestitures within the European Union, as well as those interested in transatlantic transactions. In fact, from 2007 through June 2009, 31% of our M&A transactions involved European or transatlantic assignments. The European team includes approximately 30 investment bankers, and U.S. bankers also work closely on international assignments.

Baird also offers extended exchange programs between our European and U.S. offices for top-performing investment bankers.

Institutional Sales
Baird’s European Institutional Sales group, based in London, brings European capital into U.S. equities. This team of 12 has introduced an increasing number of institutional clients in key European markets to Baird research and provides superior access to companies’ management teams.

Corporate Services
Associates in Baird’s Corporate Services group may support and interact with colleagues in many countries, and gain exposure to European and Asian business practices and international financial transactions. Baird has Corporate Services openings in the U.S. (primarily at our corporate headquarters in Milwaukee) and in London.
