Flexible work arrangements
There are many reasons our associates think so highly of the company. One is flexibility in work arrangements.
Baird recognizes that today’s associates need greater flexibility in how and when they work. Flexible work arrangements such as non-traditional office hours and telecommuting can be a win-win situation for associates and Baird. They often have a positive impact on productivity, morale and engagement, while still meeting business needs. We’re happy to discuss our guidelines with serious candidates to help you explore various possibilities.

Commitment to ethics
Another reason people find their jobs with Baird satisfying is the firm’s steadfast commitment to ethics. We believe the way we do business is as important as the business we do. Baird is committed to doing what is right for clients, even when that’s contrary to the firm’s short-term interests.
One of the ways Baird keeps clients’ interests first is by encouraging open, straight-talking communication with clients and across all levels of the organization. Junior associates have access to all levels of senior management. Professionals talk candidly across business lines. It’s a spirit of transparency that transcends the organizational chart and obviates personal agendas.

Professional development
Baird provides an environment in which associates can realize their full potential. This, we believe, helps us serve our clients better. As such, the firm offers a wide range of professional development opportunities. Baird University is the firm’s internal school, with course offerings that range from half-day seminars to intensive certification programs. The firm also offers tuition reimbursement for external continuing education at schools of associates’ choosing. Financial Advisors can also qualify as Senior Investment Consultants through a program offered by Baird at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Baird also offers extended expatriate programs with our European offices for selected investment bankers.

Stable company
Good people looking to grow their career within a growing firm are attuned to the stability of a prospective employer. As an employee-owned company, Baird controls its own destiny. Furthermore, the company is building on an 88-year tradition of excellence. Recently, for example, Integrity Research Associates and Bespoke Investment Group, independent research firms, ranked Baird No. 1 on two separate studies of the industry’s leading providers of research. And individual Baird research analysts have been recognized repeatedly as “Best on the Street” by
The Wall Street Journal
and as “Top Equity Analysts” by Forbes.com.
As a recognized leader in each of its businesses, Baird has the strength and resources to continue its record of success. The firm manages and oversees client assets of more than $78 billion, and is among the top 30 wealth management companies in the United States, according to
Barron’s
