1. What are the hours like?
We work hard. The daily morning sales meeting begins around 6:30 a.m. CST.

2. How am I assigned to an industry?
Baird places new associates based on the department’s needs and the individual’s skills.

3. How much travel is involved?
Senior Analysts travel frequently to meet with portfolio managers and company executives, as well as attend conferences. Associates travel with senior analysts on some trips, especially those related to due diligence. While Senior Analysts are traveling, associates play an elevated role in the office.

4. Is the CFA important?
Yes. Credibility is currency in this business, and the CFA designation conveys a level of expertise our clients value. Many associates earn the CFA designation in the first few years on the job. Baird values progress toward the CFA designation among prospective candidates. Some associates with highly specialized industry expertise have earned additional credentials valued by our clients.

5. What percentage of associates become senior analysts?
Several Senior Analysts were hired as associates and then promoted to Senior Analyst. Our objective is that that associates progress toward a Senior Analyst role within two to four years of joining the firm.
