All departments within this group are located at Baird's corporate headquarters in Milwaukee. Finance Internal accounting is a critical function within Baird, offering a wide variety of positions in which you can apply your accounting skills and abilities. Administrative Support Baird’s administrative-support associates are an integral part of the Baird team. We seek enthusiastic individuals with high energy, and strong computer, client service and communications skills to support clients, Baird Financial Advisors, management and corporate departments. Human Resources Our human resources associates work as business partners with all other teams in the organization. Associates work with a highly professional team to provide support and service to all Baird Associates in performance management, training and development, benefits, compensation and recruiting. Legal and Compliance The primary duty of legal and compliance associates is to ensure that the firm and its associates adhere to the laws, regulations and ethical standards of the securities industry. When you join our legal and compliance team, you will have the opportunity to work with: Sales practices Capital markets Investment advisory unit Public communications Registration Legal Internal audit Anti-money laundering Personal activities group International compliance Responsibilities include reviewing trade transactions and accounts, internal audits, ensuring required registration for appropriate Baird associates and providing awareness of ever-changing legal requirements in the industry. Marketing & Communications Communication is the key function of Baird’s Marketing & Communications Department. Associates oversee and support Baird’s internal and external communications, marketing and branding activities. By joining our Marketing & Communications area, you will have the opportunity to work with talented associates in advertising, e-business, graphic design, marketing, project services, publications and public relations. The department ensures that Baird’s brand and key messages are best used to provide consistent information to our clients and the greater public. Facilities Management and Office Services This important area manages our physical space and handles the flow of mail and supplies through units responsible for document control, name and address records, document verification, mail services and purchasing. Client Services and Operations Entry-level and experienced individuals fill roles in this essential area. Specialists assist with trades, account transfers, balancing daily entries and other aspects of client support related to IRAs and money market accounts. We look for individuals with mathematical aptitude and excellent client service skills. Technology Be an integral part of this highly skilled and experienced team to manage our information technology. Technology comprises application development, computer operations, Help Desk, network solutions, PC support, project management and telecommunications.
