Our Team

Jon Bolton, Steve Rowell and Scott Wray, formally known as Bolton, Rowell & Wray, are excited to announce the additions of Lee Cain and Jeff Trollinger to their team.

Jon S. Bolton
Vice President
Jon began advising clients on financial matters in 1980. He focuses on helping clients build and maintain financial independence. He graduated from Wake Forest (BA, Latin) where he played baseball and earned all ACC-Academic honors. Jon also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching/Latin at UNC Chapel Hill. He has been active in coaching youth sports and teaching in his church. Jon and his wife Mary have four children, Karver, Emily, Anna and Molly.

J. Stephen Rowell
Vice President
Steve has been serving clients as a financial advisor since 1981. He focuses on helping individuals with their investment, retirement, college and estate planning needs. Steve is a graduate of Wake Forest University where he received his BA in Sociology. In his free time, he is very active in the community as a board member of the Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministry and mission leader for Mission Emanuel in the Dominican Republic. Steve and his wife Nancy have two children, Kathryn and Jeff.

C. Scott Wray
Vice President
Scott has been advising clients since 1998. Prior to becoming an advisor, he was a Financial Analyst and Product Manager with Integon Corp. His primary focus is on helping clients in the asset allocation process, hypothetical illustration and money manager research. Scott earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and has an MBA from Wake Forest University. He is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Winston-Salem, an elder of the First Presbyterian Church and serves on the board of Redeemer School. Scott and his wife Margaret have three daughters, Anne Hayden, MacKenzie and Molly.

E. Lee Cain
Vice President
Lee has over 50 years of financial services experience. Prior to becoming an advisor he worked as a Trust Officer and is a Former Chairman of the Investment Committee for both Wake Forest University and Mars Hill College. He received his BS from Wake Forest University and attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Graduate Business School.

Jeff Trollinger, CFP^®
Vice President
Jeff began his career in Financial Planning in 2000 and received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification in 2005. His primary focus is helping clients identify their life values and goals, and then crafting a tailored financial plan for each household. Jeff has a BA in History from The College of William & Mary and an MBA from Wake Forest University. He is a founding member of Hope Presbyterian Church, where he has served in a variety of leadership positions. Jeff and his wife Deanne have two girls, Abbie and Sara Kent.
