Baird named to Charlotte Business Journal's Best Places to Work

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 5, 2012

Baird has been recognized among the top employers in Charlotte, N.C., by  the Charlotte Business Journal, which named Baird the No. 3 Small Employer in the publication’s list of the area’s 2012 Best Places to Work.

“We are very excited to be named among Charlotte’s Best Places to Work,” said Landrum Henderson, Branch Manager. “In addition to the high level of service we provide to our clients, our team respects and values each other, which makes our branch a great place to work. We are a true team and that contributes to a great work environment as well as great outcomes for our clients.”

Baird’s Charlotte branch includes associates in PWM, Fixed Income and Investment Banking. In total, 35 associates work in the branch.

To determine its 2012 list, the Business Journal partnered with Quantum Workplace, an independent human resources survey company, to conduct a survey with
employees of nominated companies.

“Baird is a great place to work because everyone cares about the well-being of our clients and one another,” said Mike Parrott, Financial Advisor. “Our care for clients comes from a genuine desire for them to be successful in achieving their unique financial goals. This commitment is felt very personally on a local level, but, best of all, we feel it clearly emanating from all areas that support us within the wider firm – Milwaukee, regional management, etc. The caring for one another locally is professional and respectful, but clearly real and substantive. This makes for a great atmosphere.”

Added Bill McCollum, Financial Advisor, “In Charlotte, we are blessed with the finest CRAs in the city. And they are not just our ‘face’ to the clients, but also do a gracious and sincere job of backing each other and the FAs up. They contribute greatly to the spirit of our office.”

“We all have the greatest of respect for each other and clients,” said Lori Hahm, Registered Client Relationship Supervisor. “We all work together to make it the best place to work.”
